Having protected Gohan, Piccolo orders him not to die, then passes on. At Kami-sama's temple, Kami-sama bids farewell to Mister Popo, and also expires. Gohan flares in anger, raising his power immensely, and uses every last bit of it in a Masenko blast at Nappa. Not even this can defeat the Saiyan, who brushes the blast aside and moves in to finish Gohan off. At the last moment, Goku finally arrives, rescuing Gohan! Goku splits the remaining Senzu bean and gives Kuririn and Gohan each half, partiallly restoring their power.

     Upon confirming the deaths of his allies, Goku sends an overjoyed Kuririn and Gohan off the battlefield, and faces off against Nappa alone. Nappa disbelieves Goku's overpowering strength, and Goku easily lands several successive blows, one for each of his fallen comrades!
